Contactless

Contactless payments are an easy way to speed up the payment process for merchants and consumers. Cardholders simply tap or hold their card in front of the specialized card reader. The need for receipt signatures are eliminated.

Contactless cards have a built-in radio frequency (RFID) chip that contains card information similar to the information in a magnetic stripe. With contactless technology:

  • No swiping is required
  • The checkout timeframe is greatly reduced
  • The card never leaves the cardholder’s hand
  • Magnetic stripe transactions are also possible
