Nova Libra

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has stated that after June 30, 2009, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) debit cards may not be accepted at stores with the drug store and pharmacy Merchant Category Code (MCC) unless an Inventory Information Approval System (IIAS) is used. An IIAS identifies eligible healthcare FSA/HRA purchases by comparing the inventory control information (UPC or SKU number) against a pre-established list determined by the IRS.
